AGM: Saturday 15 November, 2:00 PM

The Annual General Meeting will be held in the main hall on Saturday 15 November at 2:00 PM. All villagers are welcome and encouraged to attend. Agenda items include the election of trustees, approval of the annual accounts, and a discussion about the proposed new heating system. If you wish to raise any other business, please contact Margaret Holloway by 1 November.

Heating Replacement Fund: Update

The fundraising campaign for the new heating system has now reached seven thousand two hundred pounds of the nine thousand pound target. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed so far, and to the WI for their cake sale which raised an impressive four hundred and twenty pounds in a single afternoon. We are exploring grant options for the remaining shortfall.

Thanks to the National Lottery Community Fund

We are grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for their continued support. Their grant in 2018 made the full refurbishment possible, and a smaller award this year has funded the replacement of the committee room windows with double-glazed units. The hall is warmer, quieter, and more energy-efficient as a result.

New Yoga Class Starting in April

Emma Bridges will be starting a new yoga class on Tuesday mornings from 7 April. The class is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners. Sessions are five pounds each, pay as you go. Bring a mat if you have one. See the Community Groups page for details.

Car Park Resurfacing Complete

The car park resurfacing work is now finished, and we are delighted with the result. New line markings have been added, including two designated disabled parking spaces near the entrance. Thanks to Ian Blackwell for overseeing the project and to Cotswold Surfacing for the competitive quote.
