Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds and subscription cancellations are handled for services provided by Elkwood Studios, operated by Elkwood Ltd (Company No. 11295206).

This policy applies to services purchased through https://www.elkwoodstudios.com.

1. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Elkwood offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for customers who purchase a website subscription.

If you are not satisfied with your website or our service within the first 30 days of your initial payment, you may request a full refund.

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the first payment. Once a refund request has been confirmed and approved, refunds will be issued within 30 days and processed through the original payment method where possible.

2. Subscription Cancellation

Customers may cancel their subscription at any time.

Subscriptions are managed through the Stripe customer portal, which can be accessed from the client area.

If you cancel your subscription:

  • Your website will remain live until the end of the current billing cycle
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation
  • The website may be taken offline once the billing cycle ends

3. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are only available within the first 30 days of the initial payment.

Refunds are not available for:

  • Payments made after the first 30 days
  • Partial billing periods after the refund window has passed
  • Services already cancelled after the refund window

4. One-Off Website Purchase

Customers may choose to purchase their website outright for £1,500.

This purchase provides:

  • Full access to the website source files
  • Assistance transferring the website to independent hosting
  • Assistance transferring the domain where applicable

Due to the nature of digital services, one-off website purchases may not be refundable once the transfer process has begun.

5. Domain Transfers

Where Elkwood has registered a domain on behalf of the client:

  • Domains may remain under Elkwood management while the subscription is active
  • Clients purchasing their website outright may request a domain transfer

Some domain registrars require a waiting period (often up to 60 days) before a domain can be transferred. Elkwood will assist with the transfer process where possible.

6. Offboarding Support

If a client purchases their website outright or chooses to move their website to independent hosting, Elkwood will provide guidance and reasonable assistance with the transfer process.

Clients are responsible for completing the transfer with their chosen hosting provider.

7. Abuse of the Refund Policy

The 30-day refund policy is intended to ensure customer satisfaction.

Elkwood reserves the right to refuse refund requests where there is clear evidence of abuse of this policy.

8. Changes to This Policy

Elkwood may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, or operational practices.

When updates are made, the revised version will be published on the Elkwood Studios website with an updated revision date.

Where changes are significant, we may notify users through the website or by email.

Continued use of Elkwood services after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
