Agreement to Terms
By accessing the British Artisan Guild website or applying for membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
Membership
Membership in the British Artisan Guild is subject to application and approval. By applying, you confirm that:
- All information provided is accurate and truthful
- You meet the eligibility criteria for your chosen membership tier
- You will maintain professional standards in your practice
- You will abide by the Guild's Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
All members agree to:
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship
- Deal honestly and fairly with customers
- Represent the Guild positively
- Respect fellow members and the wider craft community
- Not bring the Guild into disrepute
Guild Mark Usage
The British Artisan Guild mark may only be used by current Full and Master members in good standing. Usage must comply with our brand guidelines. The right to use the mark terminates immediately upon membership expiry or termination.
Directory Listings
Members are responsible for the accuracy of their directory listings. The Guild reserves the right to edit or remove listings that violate these terms or misrepresent the member's work.
Fees and Renewal
Membership fees are due annually. We will send renewal reminders 30 days before expiry. Lapsed memberships may be reinstated within 90 days without reapplication. After 90 days, a new application is required.
Termination
The Guild may terminate membership for breach of these terms, the Code of Conduct, or for conduct that damages the Guild's reputation. Members may resign at any time by written notice. Fees are non-refundable.
Limitation of Liability
The Guild acts as a directory and community organisation. We do not guarantee the quality of work produced by members or mediate disputes between members and their customers. Each member operates as an independent business.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Members will be notified of significant changes. Continued membership after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
