Introduction

These terms govern the use of our website and the provision of our services. By visiting our site or commissioning work from Greenwood & Sons Landscapes, you accept these terms. Please read them carefully.

Use of our services

We provide garden design, hard landscaping and maintenance services within roughly thirty miles of Worcester. The scope of any specific engagement is set out in a written quotation, which becomes the contract between us once accepted.

Quotes and estimates

All quotes are valid for thirty days from issue. Quotes are based on the brief, the site visit and any drawings supplied at the time, and assume reasonable site conditions. If we encounter materially different conditions when work begins (for example, services we couldn’t see, or unexpected ground conditions), we’ll discuss any cost implications with you before proceeding.

Project changes

Variations to the agreed scope are common and welcome — gardens evolve as we work on them. Any change that affects price or programme will be agreed with you in writing before we make it. We don’t add charges retrospectively.

Payment

For most projects we ask for a deposit on acceptance of the quotation, with stage payments invoiced as milestones are reached. Final payment is due within fourteen days of the project being signed off. Maintenance work is invoiced monthly in arrears.

Liability

We carry full public liability insurance and we’ll provide proof on request. Our liability for any single project is limited to the value of that project. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Materials and plants

We source materials and plants of a quality appropriate to the project. Hard materials carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Plants are warranted for one growing season subject to reasonable aftercare on your part — we’ll always provide care notes for everything we plant.

Cancellation

You can cancel a project at any time before work begins by giving us written notice. Any deposits paid will be refunded, less any costs we’ve already incurred (for example, bespoke materials ordered specifically for your project). Once work has started, cancellation will be charged at the cost of work completed plus any committed materials.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
